The Magic Carpet

Stiffen lived with his aunt and uncle, he loved them very much as he was orphan and they have taken care of him since childhood. His aunt and uncle’s anniversary was coming soon, and he wanted to give a very special and memorable gift. He went to the small gift store down the street to buy gift. The old woman at the gift store showed Stiffen a variety of gifts ranging from clothes to shoes to perfumes but Stiffen did not like any of them. Finally, he looked up and in a corner, he saw an old dusty carpet, the old woman brought down the carpet and opened it, it was a magical carpet but because it was too old, it was almost thread bare and battered and had many holes in it. The colors had almost faded and the carpet smelled old and musty. The old woman told him that once upon a time the carpet could fly to many magical places, but now it was old and could barely move about five inches above the ground. Even Stiffen was willing to buy the magic carpet and the old woman gave him a very good price for the carpet and also gave him book of carpet spells.

In few days, there was anniversary of Stiffen’s aunt and uncle, he was very excited he gave the gift to his aunt and uncle, they were delighted and happy. Though it needed bit of cleaning, so the next day uncle and Stiffen sat down to mend and clean the carpet. They washed it first and then wiped it and at the end of the day, the effect was amazing and the carpet looked almost brand new. Stiffen began to experiment with the carpet by using book of carpet spell. In book it was written whatever place a person would think of, the carpet would take them there. Stiffen aunt wanted to go to beach and enjoy a nice walk. So, Stiffen and his aunt and uncle sat on the carpet as stiffen thought about the beach, the carpet immediately took off. At first with a sight jerk out of the window and it began to fly smoothly. Stiffen and his aunt and uncle had a wonderful day in the beach swimming, nice walk and playing in sand.

From then on for many many years Stiffen and his aunt and uncle had many wonderful journeys and adventures on the magic carpet. It was one of the best gift that Stiffen could have given his lovely aunt and uncle for he too along with them got to visit many wonderful and awesome places and have memorable time.
