• • The Most Terrifying Teacher
    
    After a long winter break, our school had just re-opened. As I entered the classroom, everyone was busy asking each other for math’s assignment. Since all of us knew that our math teacher was short-tempered and loudmouth, no one would even dare to stay in the class without completing the given assignments. Getting in trouble in his period would be a biggest mistake because once you had entered the “hit list zone”; getting nagged and facing torture would become a daily routine.
    As soon as I was in my bench, my friend asked me if I could lend her my assignments and since I had completed it, with a big grin on my face I looked for it in my bag. I was going through each of my exercise books, looking for the math copy but I didn’t have it. Suddenly I remembered I had taken it out yesterday for a revision. That moment I felt as if someone dropped a bomb in my head because I knew the consequences I would have to face later. Our math teacher was someone who hated hearing excuses and I was worried how to tell him. Thinking about all those nonsense remarks he would make about it was making me worried and at the same time I was getting annoyed.
    Finally, the bell rang and my heart started to pound. I could hear the footsteps and to my surprise one of the staff members entered the class and said “Math sir is absent today!”
    I sighed with a relief! Phew!
