kATHMANDU CITY

Living in Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the capital and, with close to one million inhabitants, the largest metropolitan city of Nepal. Kathmandu is not only the capital of the federal democratic republic of Nepal but also the headquarter of the central development region among the five development regions constituted by the 14 administrative zone of Nepal located at the central part of the country.
Kathmandu, being the capital city, most of people starts their career from this city. Be it you or be it me, none of us wants to live in the city where we can easily gets the facilities that are required in our daily life. And Kathmandu is that city where we can find every facilities we want.
Talking about me, I am actually from Pokhara. It has been nearly 6 months living in Kathmandu. Now I am here for my higher study which I didn’t find in Pokhara. So, today I’m forced to come up here sacrificing my family members and friends to make-up my dream success in real life. In this six months interval time, living in Kathmandu, I found that Kathmandu is very good city in education and job field. Living in Kathmandu we can find ourselves more confident. I find people in Kathmandu are more selfish than Pokhara. Here, people think only about themselves. People in Kathmandu have no time for their children because of their busyness. Due to this reason, I find most of the youngsters engaged in bad activities. I find to youngsters, going to disco, night club party, drinking and smoking is nothing to them
Seeing too much crowdies and pollution in Kathmandu I always remember my beautiful town Pokhara. I compare it with Pokhara. Seeing the pollution I really don’t want to stay here anymore. Wherever we go we had to stay in traffic jam. We had to inhale the pollution everyday which makes us sick. It’s very hard to get good and healthy foods and here daily we had to face the shortage of water which is making us hard to live.
Although it is the city of opportunities, it is not so well secured city. Crimes, robbery, theft are increasing day by day. An individual cannot find himself\herself secured. We cannot predict anything because anything can happen here at any time.
Summing up, Kathmandu is the city of opportunities as well as challenges. We need to prove ourselves best in order to get anything here. The life of Kathmandu valley is just a single type of life, here neither one cares for another nor does anything for others.
