Life in Kathmandu

A city where every Nepalese dreamed to live in, the capital of our country and the only most developed city. I was born in Kathmandu itself and live here permanently. Life style in Kathmandu has changed since I was child up to now. Before it was not so populated, but now it seems every Nepalese live here. Increasing population density has increased basic needs demands. Increase in vehicles, in petroleum products, in electricity consumption. This has made government difficult to fulfill all needs of people. We Nepalese are tolerating power cuts (loadsheding) ok daily 13 hours currently which even increases up to 18- 20 hours. Talking about the roads, the roads of Kathmandu are so unmanaged that we have 2 tolerate traffic jams for hours. The main reason for all this is centralization of all the facilities and resources in Kathmandu mainly and only a little in other parts of the country. If all regions were equally developed then people would not migrate to Kathmandu in such a large rate which would help minimize these problems.
However, Kathmandu also has its own good sides. We can enjoy many technological facilities here which are not available in most parts of the country. Not only technology, education is also much better than other part of the country. Beside that we have many other facilities also but unmanaged so it should be managed properly so that life in Kathmandu can be better, comfortable, peaceful and much more enjoyable than it is currently. .

  1. It is absolutely correct that there is lots of change in Kathmandu city, due to increase in population. People are facing lots of problem. Due to more vehicles there is always hours of traffic jam. Moreover the roads are comparatively smaller. But still Kathmandu have good education and is highly developed than other part of country with all the facilities.
