Holi

Holi is the festival of colors which is celebrated on the day after the full moon in early March. The atmosphere is filled with colors as people throw colors in the air and greet each other by putting abber on each other. Holi is celebrated throughout the country with joy. Children especially enjoy this festival as they throw “lolas” at passerby. Besides they also make each other wet with “pichkaris”. It is said that, holi is celebrated for the sacrifice of Holika on this day. Nowadays holi is celebrated by organizing dance parties and different programs. This festival creates feeling of friendship, people forgets bitterness and hatred. But sometimes some minor and major accidents happen in this festival. People get drunk and it even leads to quarreling.
